Artist Bio

Niki is a freelance illustrator and Art and Design teacher based in London. She is an enthusiast for detail and pattern! She loves making art for herself, others and for exhibitions. She has also collaborated with galleries and for set design productions. Niki studied an Art and Design foundation course at University of the Arts Camberwell, receiving a distinction. She then went on to complete a BA (Hons) degree in Illustration at Middlesex University in 2010. During her time there she spent a lot of time in life drawing classes. She experimented with different types of media including screen print, lino and etching. She developed new techniques and types of line when drawing to develop her style further. Her passion is to draw with intricate details with patterns and different perspective compositions. Various projects have included book covers, editorial, posters, children’s books and animation. Niki’s work was ‘Highly Commended’ in the Gazette’ : in April 2011 for the Waitrose Bonus Poster Competition. 

Niki’s illustrations are featured in the AOI’s ‘Images 35’ her entry was chosen under the New Talent category.
